30 days of hell begins. My bike makes all kinds of weird noises on this trainer. Sounds like the BB makes a clicking noise, the chain makes all kinds of loud noises depending on the cog I am on. gross.
Datlas sorry about your daughter. Hope it works out for her.
Glad the dougs are still alive.
Trainsnorter, hope you are doing better, and did you ever get the domane E bike.

Not, yet. I’m still waiting to see how my new meds are going to pan out. I’m definitely tired. I rode a 40 mile club ride last Saturday on flat roads and was very happy when it was over. I’m still resisting going to the ‘e’ world.

I support your effort to resist. Hold out as long as you can. In our prayers, hope you bounce back from this one like you have in the past.

Amelia’s horse trainer has started training again and this time close to our house, so she will start taking horse back riding lessons again in a couple weeks. Pretty stoked about this. She showed potential with that “sport”.

Tomorrow I take Liz and baby to the airport so they can leave me for two weeks. They are going to Amsterdam (along with a sister and her little one) so the four of them can enjoy the markets and the town while staying at a family friend's apartment. Good for them.
And for me, too, for like a few days. I'll enjoy the bachelor life for a minute, smoking pot inside the house, belching after taking a large sip of beer, walking around in my underwear, that sort of thing. But as I've aged, it gets old pretty fast. A week is too much time... Two weeks? I'll miss them. I'm not good at being idle. I'll fill in some of that time with riding more (of course) and probably catching up on some things at work, been a bit behind with state leave and all that.
Gonna miss these girls.
EDIT: and piano. I have a Satie and a Sibelius that I've started and I don't think it's too far out of reach to finish them

This morning is.a mtb morning, alternating with Pilates mornings. I was up quite a bit with with dog barking issues—ultimately they had to be locked inside from midnight to 3:30—so I’m taking the morning off. This generally doesn’t work out well. The body needs to move in order to fully wake up. Vamos a ver.

We lost power last evening shortly after sundown. The temperature was still in the mid 90s. We found out this morning that a village 20 km south also lost it. And is still without. It might have been the long awaited total peninsula outage that has been predicted for years. We had one a few years agp but they blamed it on milpa fires under the transmission lines. An unlikely story, as those transmission lines are quite high in the air.
Ours was only out for a couple hours.

I’m doing a short ride before appointments later. My wife said that she’d stay home so that I didn’t have to struggle to keep up.

bampilot06 can you download apps to that big TV or try screen mirroring with the iPad? That would be so much better. I think a larger screen improves the quality of any indoor virtual riding experience.
