Bike Fever
I don't know if it is contagious
I mentioned earlier that I wanted to get my wife a bike. I do, but again, I know that she won't want to ride as often as I will. Now I am thinking maybe I want to spend some more, and get the lighter frame. Its a fever, I'm telling Yah!
That salesman/owner knew what he was doing when he asked me if I wanted to test ride another bike with my wife. I am afraid that my wife will also like the lighter bike, it can get really scarry!

Ahhhh, the joys of bike shopping. That and determining how much credit is left on your card!
Don't forget to budget some money for extras, i.e. helmet, gloves, shorts....etc.

Fortunately she has all of the extra's, thank goodness. I am coming back down to Earth, so I called the LBS, and told them that I am coming after work to test ride it myself. After reading a lot of reviews online, and the fact that I am fortunate to deal with a LBS where I respect these guys, I feel sure it is a good decision. So I will more than likely go with the Iguana.

a2psyklnut,
I told you that she has all of the extra's, well I forgot a thing or two, or three....
Yesterday afternoon, I went back to test ride the new bike (giant iguana), since we are the same frame size (17). Everything was okay, and I knew I wanted a cyclocomputer, and a seat bag, sunglases, and etc. I remember reading a thread that said, when you purchase a new bike, a lot of times they will discount upgrades and accessories if you ask.
Well they are in the co-op which I guess a lot of yall know about, I may mispell this the Ya Ya, or the Yada Yada (Seinfeld version),. Anyway all new purchases qualify for the Gold card, and for an extra $75 I go Platinum. At first I wasn't to sure about this, but it does give me 10 yrs on the Bike Registration($10), as well as a floor pump $35, or a Ulock $35, plus 2 yrs on flat repairs. Here is where the discount comes in, everything you purchase that day comes with a 10% discount on any extras. So right off the bat, you are getting back $45. I could use a new floor pump, and it has the smart head, so I guess its a good deal in the long run. Yeh I know $30 to get off a 10% discount, what do yall think?
