Swollen inguinal tendon.. I think
Hi everyone! I have had swollen right inguinal tendon for MONTHS probably like 9 months. It has gotten worse over time, probably because in the beginning I kept forcing myself to workout. The first doctor I went to told me it was in my mind and there was nothing wrong with me. I really hoped that was the case so I kept lifting heavy. The inflammation doesn't go away after resting for a month and anti inflammatory. Now that I think about it, I'v had a bad right hip my whole life, when I would squat I would feel myself shift to the side due to the fact that my hip wouldn't open as much as my left. Anyways, inflammation doesn't go away and I'm kinda starting to feel pain on my left side too. Doctor said I can only do cardio and no lifting, so I did that for like 2weeks and the pain started radiating to my inner right thigh and then to my knee (it even started feeling swollen). I got a ct scan done and there's no hernia. I'm honestly so tired of this, I pretty much lost all my muscle since I haven't been able to properly lift in months. Every time I look up my symptoms online it doesn't say anything I can relate too. Is anyone out there going through the same thing, I feel like I'm alone rn lol

Be patient. The doctors here on Bike Forums will be with you in a moment.
Go back to the doctor. We cannot treat you here. Alternately, as with any injury, take time to let it heal.

I would get a second medical opinion. Your doctor is not doing you any favors.

And….. I know how difficult it is to lose fitness that takes so much dedication to achieve, but you really need to stop since you are continuing to aggravate the condition or by compensating, shifting it elsewhere. Your physician will more than likely refer you to a PT that will help you heal and regain strength at an appropriate pace.

I had a friend that had an issue that concerned him but apparently not concerning to the doctors he went to. He kept going to new doctors until he found one that also was concerned enough to solve his issue. Took him over several years to find that one doctor.

I had a similar thing happen to me early this year. I started weight lifting and doing sit ups. My back really hurt. My sister is a physical therapist and she said I should rest it until there is no more pain, and when I start, do it gradually.
Have you tried going to chiropractors? Specially the ones who practice Gonstead technique? Search Dr. Ian on youtube, he's based in Australia, and Dr. Rahim who is based in California, so you have an idea of what they do to treat patients. Don't just go to anu chiro who juat cracks your joints.

With a mighty wind
I’ve seriously strained and sub clinically injured my hip flexors many times.
From your description, it sounds as though your pelvis is not symmetrical. Neither is mine. I think that’s the root of the problem.
My injuries have always been from running longer distances than I had the fitness for or from rock climbing. Lots of high stepping and twisting and whatnot. So far I haven’t mentioned cycling but neither did you.
For me it took time. I do some stretching and strengthening. I honestly can’t say if it helps or not.
I’ve considered getting power cranks for their claims. They’re expensive and weird though.

Your post doesn't say where you are, but if I had your concerns, I would call the local professional sports teams, or big time university athletic departments and ask them who treats their players with weight training injuries. That physician is likely to be top notch and biased toward keeping his patients "in the game."
Good luck.
Good luck.

DX: you are just happy to see her
Kidding aside, I acutely damaged my right iliopsoas tendon (big one in hip that pulls leg forward, flexor tendon) on a treadmill back in 2019, and it took 3 months to get well-ish. I could not lay down on my back (with leg straight) for a month because the tendon would scream if it was straightened out. Even two years after I overused the tendon and could not go backpacking all summer.
