Free bike racing app for the select few
If you're in the same minority I seem to be in and find this:
to be the ultimate interface for a bike tracker/racer, then a brand new android app was released today. Disclaimer: I am a friend of the developer and have been actively involved in the non-coding creative process, design, test data, artwork, etc. Here's an old thread that explains why this project came to be. Basically I just could not find the features that mattered most to me in any app and in the end I managed to talk someone into creating this with me.
Anyway, it's completely free to download and use, contains a few ads, but those are always switched off when actually racing on a prerecorded track. If you're looking for street maps, community interaction and a ton of stats and charts, then this is not for you, but there are tons of other fantastic apps with that focus.
If anyone should try it out, please let me know how it fares to you, are the GPS calculations correct for the latitude where you live, are the numbers working as you'd expect, etc?
