Took delivery of a leftover '13 Bianchi Zurigo for extended off-season training so I can have an even better '14 on my track/race bike. :-)

Possibly may be a size too big. But the LBS did a basic fit on the floor and with the trainer for standover and seat height. I'm about 6'0" @ 165 lbs, so pretty slender with "Scottie Pippen arms". Did a couple of 20 min test street rides before taking delivery and did a 40 min ride yesterday of a mix of pavement and gravel. :-) He told me to come back in a couple hundred miles or so or 30 days for the tune up and to make adjustments /suggestions for fit as needed.
I'm brand new to cycling, and being on the Duc for a couple of seasons has already gotten me used to being on a torture rack, lol. But honestly so far I have no complaints with fit or comfort. We'll see once I start getting some miles under my belt on it. But for now the arms feel relaxed, starting to get used to the clipless pedal routine, feel in control coming up to/waiting at stop signs (unclip one foot upon approach and stand over the top tube until I get going again).

I tend to go up a size with my CXers too, only my race rigs are the proper size. I like to train/commuter on larger bikes so I avoid toe overlap.

Here's mine, a 1996 Bianchi Reparto Corse. Made in Italy, Dedecciai Zero Uno tubing. I bought it used and ran it as a commuter / road bike for years, but I'm doing my first 'cross race tomorrow and I just finished getting it set up to race this morning.

I saw you and your bike today but I was either almost puking after my race or drinking bourbon and didn't get to say hello. Did you have fun?

Yeah that was hella fun! I was pretty whipped at the end too, and had to split with my family pretty quick so no bourbon for me. Bike held up well but I had a few issues. Right before the race, I was adjusting the position of my left thumbie and discovered the mounting bolt hole was stripped - argh! I used some zip ties to hold it in place, but it didn't matter anyways because I never got out of the small ring. I'm thinking of running a one chainring set up for my next race now. I guess if there were faster courses with longer straightaways I might miss the big ring, but I sure didn't need it at Woodland Park today!

That Univega is bad-a$$ - I love re-purposed old steel bikes with canti's.
Got one I'm building now to see if it'll satiate my desire to get another Surly Cross Check. Its a lot cheaper than buying a $440 frame but has a few drawbacks but should be about as versatile.
Put the 700c wheelset on today and stripped down the frame. Stock crank came with a 36t and 47t ring so I'm set for any SS work I want to do
