This Bianchi road bike served me tremendously. It currently needs work, hence the low price. The brakes and handlebars were recently redone. The tires are in pretty good shape. The issue is currently in the rear axel, which rides with some resistance. It most likely needs replacing. I would have made these repairs myself but I'm leaving Boston and can't take it with me. Great fixer upper...plenty of time until the great biking weather!

It would best fit someone between 5'-9" and 6'-1".

[h=2]Beautiful Classic Trek 520 Touring/ Road, PERFECT, Shimano, XXL 64cm - $500 (Somerville/ Medford)[/h]

Beautiful Classic Trek 520 Touring/ Road, PERFECT, Shimano, XXL 64cm

Are you tall and looking for the perfect touring bike or all weather commuter? Looking to keep your high-end road bike out of the bad weather we've be dealing with? Looking for a seriously high quality frame you can keep for awhile?

Check out this beautiful American Made classic Trek 520. Size 64cm, XXL. The same bike you could buy at the shop today for $1500, except that this frame is hand-made out of far superior material.

Tough as nails, super reliable, easy to service with a long service life, and great ride quality.

-Trek 520 lugged frame and fork, hand built in Waterloo, WI, of Reynolds 531 butted steel. Gorgeous blue and white paint in near perfect shape. Frame and fork both have mounts for racks as well as fenders, adjustable semi-horizontal rear dropout with set screws.
-Alloy rims laced to Matrix sealed bearing hubs, wheels true as a dime.
-Shimano Deore drivetrain, 3 x 8 speeds. Reliable as can be, and still the same part stocked on the 2014 model. Drop bar shifters are low maintenance, not finicky, and great in bad weather.
-BRAND NEW Chain, new cassette, even new old-stock chainrings!
-Shimano Cantilever brakes, arguably better than than the brakes stocked on the new bike, especially foul weather. BRAND NEW PADS!
-BRAND NEW Continental Ultra 27x 1 1/4" tires with zero miles.
-Sakae controls: 100mm stem, 44cm bars, 210 x 27.2mm post.

I ride a size 54cm. I picked it up from an estate sale after apparently very little use. I have lots of project bikes, and lots of personal bikes that I ride. As a professional mechanic, I can assure you that this bike is in perfect working order, and seeing as all the wearable parts as well as all the moving parts are new or in great shape, this thing is singing.

Come take it for a testride, you'll love it. If you have any questions, let me know.

Meet in Porter, Union or Magoun Square. Have tall friends looking for bikes? Let them know whats up!

Shoot me a text at 781-572-one-five-zero-one, or respond to the add with an email.

Thanks for looking!

Bridgestone Spica - $100

Not an especially high end Bridgestone, but from everything I've read it should be a solid, well constructed, nice riding, cr-mo (straight gauge) bike.

The derailleur appears to be a SunTour V-GT Luxe, which was standard equipment on '77 and '78 Superiors. The bike in question looks to be all original except for the saddle, freewheel, missing spoke protector and toe-clips/straps.

EDIT: The same bike is on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/171235099354

Just as an FYI, your post is probably against policy and certainly against commonly accepted practice here.

However it is a nice looking bike. And welcome to C&V (if you haven't been welcomed before).

I get it. I check this thread frequently. Since someone else posed my bike up here, I just thought I'd give folks a heads up as to whom it belongs.

Why don't you buy a membership?

They don't cost much.

Then you can post it in the for sale section.

Lots of RB1 fans around these parts.

Which could have been done by simply quoting whoever posted up your bike and stated "hey, that's mine."
