My question is will 26X2.0 55-559 Tires raise my Standover Height on my
Surly LHT 26in 52cm 2008???
Right now I am using Continental Touring Plus Tires 26X1.75 44-559 and
I was using Schwalbe marathon Tour Plus 26X1.75 47-559 and I like the
marathon Plus Tour hs404 in 26X1.75 but I like to go 26X2.0 someday

I thought you were getting the Marathon Plus HS440 for your Surly LHT 26in 52cm 2008...I have many miles on them but switched to the Marathon Supreme on my Surly LHT 54cm 2015.
I know you looked at the weight, the Marathon Plus is a heavy tire. The Supremes are almost exactly half the weight of the Plus tires. I carry my bike up and down stairs, 3 flights, so weight is sometimes a consideration in equipment choices. It looks like your looking at tires that have more tread than the Supremes.
Check to make sure 2" tires will work with your fenders!

Well, thats not promising. I don't know if the newest version I have will be any better. I would probably go back to the Marathon Plus if these give me trouble. I've never had problems with thorns yet, haven't been to an area that has lots of them; I thought Texas was supposed to have the goatheads, I didn't have any problems.

I have never had any trouble with Schwalbe's warranty policy. They replaced a Marathon on my girlfriend's bike when the bead tore out of the sidewall, and they replaced a Sammy Slick for me that had a wobble in the tread. At the point my sidewalls failed, I had 1,500 miles on the tire. Is that enough for a touring tire? No, I don't think so, but it didn't feel right to warranty them out after that. I simply stopped buying them.
The much heavier and less expensive Marathon Mondial has been exceptional. I know some people get 10,000 miles out of them. When I want fast and light, I go with Conti Gatorskins.

Schwalbe Marathon Plus Tour hs404 900gm 26X1.75 in my Storage unit and in 2013 I wanted Schwalbe marathon Extreme 26x2.0 but it was $90.00 and i looked at marathon mondial
hs428 I don't not have $82.52x2=$179.04 but the Schwalbe marathon Deluxe hs420
26X2.0 is $60.22X2=$120.44 good for Off Road and on Road in Southern California.
and I could go back to my marathon plus tour hs404 26x1.75

I wish they would improve upon the "roundness" of the tires. I bought some of the Schwalbe tire installation lubricant just to try for fun. I thought part of the problem might be the tire not seating perfectly on the rim. Most of them are off a bit but not enough to bother me. The wobble I am seeing is looking over the handlebars down at the tire...kind of like an untrue rim that is rubbing on a brakeshoe each revolution. They could do better, they are in my mind premium tires with a premium price.
My next investment will be a bead jack.
In the meantime, let all the air out so you can take the bead off the rim on both sides, and soak the whole rim in Windex, all the way around on both sides. Then, use an air compressor to quickly inflate the tire to its maximum PSI (usually around 75-80, check tire). It should snap into place.

The bead not being set is almost definitely the problem. I am 99% confident. Some beads are very hard to set. I have some tires which are only 85% of the way set, and I just say "Forget this!" and ride them like that.
My next investment will be a bead jack.

Like... what?.. 40 dollars approx.?
I make it with "regular" Marathons and Panaracer Paselas. Not even 20 each. Good and durable enough for me, but i'm a light rider, i don't flat much.

I've done plenty of touring on inexpensive tires from the local Performance bike shop and never had a problem with them. Depending on the sale price, I could get up to six of them for that $90. Don't have caviar tastes when you're on a peanut butter budget, man. They are still really good tires.
I'm also curious if you've ever managed to go on a tour, with all your preparations and questions...just askin'.

Riverside, CA via Indio, CA then Niland, CA (Slad City) to by there for X-Mas time but i have canceled my trip 12-2015 do to El Nino Weather with Rain! (Note i don't like the Rain) and i will be going on this bike touring trip in 12/2016 and i was going to Flagstaff, AZ on 8-2016 and bike back to San Diego, CA is now canceled do to my Mom now his Cancer and on may 3rd 2016 i am getting on greyhound bus in Oceanside, CA to see my mom for the Summer of 2016 and back on the greyhound bus in Myrtle Beach, SC on 9-6-2016 back to Oceanside, CA
Since 11/2008 i have gone Homeless by Choice to get my gear for bike touring and so i am
Homeless on a Bicycle doing Stealth Camping in San Diego County in Southern California
and when i am Stealth Camping in San Diego, CA i am Stealth Camping on or near
UTC High School in San Diego, CA and i go round trip from near UTC High School to and from Chick-fil-A in Sports Arena to use the free Wi-Fi and i also ride to downtown San Diego to go to Panera Bread or Panera Bread in Point Loma to use the free Wi-Fi and i do ride fully-loaded from Wed to Monday Morning then i get on the San Diego Coaster Train back to Oceanside/Vista, CA and i am riding almost every day to get use to my Surly LHT
I have replaced a lot of Camping gear since 11/2008

If you really dislike flats and are mainly on pavement, I would go with the Schwalbe Marathon Plus HS440. I used them for years on my Trek and my LHT for a while. I only remember having one flat with the Marathon Plus on my Trek and LHT. If your research the tire, you'll find three things commonly mentioned: people get lots of miles out of them, they get few flats, they are heavy and give a bad ride compared to other tires. I had a real tough time getting them on/off my Trek. LHT was no problem.
They come in 1.5, 1.75 and 2 inch. I like the Supremes better for what I do. If I was going cross country I would go with the Marathon Plus HS440. Schwalbe says the "SmartGuard" protective layer is 5mm thick...no wonder it's so heavy!
You'll get a discount off anything you order from Schwalbe USA in the form of "Schwalbe Points" that you can use on your next order. The last purchase I made from them for two tires, I got 183 points. Ten points= one dollar or $18.30. I ordered one Schwalbe tire to use as a spare from across the pond. With the low asking price of the tyres some of these overseas online stores are charging, provided you were only slugged $10 in total by BofA, you would still save money buying from them, especially if you bought two tyres, two tubes and maybe some other stuff too at the same time.
