What about mud flaps, CB gear, and merle haggard on cassette tape? I'm pretty sure those are required as well.

Man, if you don't log in for a while, FB turns in to that weird ex that wants to get back together, sending weird messages about nothing much in the hopes that you'll remember the good times and reach back out. "So and so updated her status!" Good for her. "So and so uploaded a photo." Yay.

I am a Buc-ees expert. Plenty of them all over the Texas highways. Started several years ago as just a pretty decent highway convenience store, but they have grow into gargantuan establishments. The new ones are at least two blocks wide. Every kind of useless merchandise you can imagine in those places. Every snack food known to man and plenty of real food to make a meal on. I saw a woman carrying out a 4 ft high wooden cross the other day. People go shopping in there ON PURPOSE, not just because they have to take a leak. it's not just a couple folks getting coffee. Maybe 50 customers at one time on a normal morning. And cheap gas...don't forget the cheap gas. Amazing is right.

I thought you all were talking about convenience stores. I think you have them mixed up with truck stops.

I did spend a few years hauling a race car though, so I'm likely qualified to make the distinction.

It's something about the centripetal force of the water moving towards the pivot point combined with the smugness of the rider than transforms a mere bottle into a bidon the moment a successful flip is executed.
I think @PepeM has studied this phenomenon in his lab.

HEY INTERNET...
The new "Grand Tour" TV show premieres on Friday on Amazon Prime video (happens to be my bday as well).
It's the 3 guys from BBC's Top Gear with the same basic format but with a lot more $$$ to spend on production thanks to Amazon. Clarkson may be an asshat, but they're entertaining. I'm actually really excited. Clarkson hitting that producer and getting fired may end up being the best thing to ever happen to them.

Normally that might get my attention, but not from FB (actually, the last time that FB sent me a message that I had "pokes," I looked at they were years old. These are probably the same pokes as back then)

It's fun, and it's dmaned comforting when you're driving through the middle of nowhere in Texas and you find one of those to stop at instead of a dusty Shell. And it's big and bright and clean and you can walk around and stretch your legs and back a few times while you look at all the random kitsch.

Oh yes, they still periodically email me about a poke from like five years ago from someone I didn't even know then and didn't they get rid of pokes a few years ago?
