cleats
...initially purchased some inexpensive spdsl cleats to save a couple dollars, worked great in the beginning but suddenly was difficult to clip out. eventually unable to unclip at the light and went down like joe frazier!
in the end, really didn’t save any money, purchased some shimano cleats after the ride

A pair of GP4000SII's. Seems they are readily available at decent prices now that the 5000's are out.

I like being visible from the front to hopefully cut down on people pulling out in front or turning across me from ahead (or possibly even right hooked from behind)..
I've had enough close calls with people pulling out or turning in front of me that something bright out front has value.

I have a Niterider 650 mounted under the Garmin, and a Niterider 400 on my helmet. If I get hit at night, it's not because they didn't see me.

Considering I've just joined and I've been out of it for awhile...I just got a new bike! It's a bit on the older side but it's been well taken care of and pretty low miles. It's a 2012 Specialized Dolce Sport. Nothing fancy, but a damn nice bike for the pieces for sure.

New rubber (GP 4000 S2, 700x23), a pouch of Tailwind Nutrition Endurance Fuel, and...
for my nose. I had no idea that zinc oxide sunblock came in colors other than white.

My LBS store is loving me... first the bike, then need matching gloves and matching water bottle cages
---------------------------
Then this weeks haul, matching helmet, new seat, and replaced my 10 pound blackburn CO2 gun for something a little smaller. Also bought a $15 brush to clean my chain (not pictured)

@mattleegee I'm interested in hearing your experience with the Specialized saddle. I was looking at purchasing that saddle for a while, but I settled on the Romin.

I hope you know that there is no way to guaranty that everyone will see you. All you can do is reduce the likelihood that they don't.

It's obvious to you and me, but not to everyone. Until now, it wasn't obvious to me which group you belong to. Some people really think that there are sure things.
