A woman in my department sprayed her cube and surfaces in the kitchen across from her cube with a thymol-based disinfectant. You can really smell thyme.

I spent the past hour and a half learning about shoe sizing; then ordered New Balance from Amazon. My current (slightly too small) shoes are NB, so should be safe. Impossible to find large, wide shoes locally. Or large bikes, for that matter. datlas Things to think about when expatriating

I am slowly making progress on changing out cables/housing on the Habanero. The shifter has TWO possible channels to run the cable, straight or diagonal. The wrench who helped me build this 11 years ago used the diagonal one so I chose to route it the same. But I wonder why one would pick one over the other and why there are two options. Anyone know? Pic below for reference so you can see what I mean:

Vain, But Lacking Talent
Things are weird. I am in Nashville visiting a friend who lives here. The whole family is here and predictably sick (My two kids and wife have been on and off sick for weeks now). There are Coronavirus cases in Nashville, but not many. However, lots of schools in the area have closed. My local district back in Denton has sent emails during spring break saying they are monitoring the situation. There are some confirmed cases in DFW, but none in Denton County. When I get back next week, I'm leaving Monday evening for an on site install for a customer in North Houston. They have a rash of cases that seem to center around some Egyptian cruise, but some guy that hadn't left Texas seemingly contracted it at a large public event. So who knows where that might go. I imagine myself sleeping in my car in Houston and wearing disposable gloves for everything. I don't want to be that guy who is overreacting, but I also don't want to be that guy who is nonchalant and brings it back to my city.
To top it off, NYC is sort of on edge and one of the cases in Houston is from a young woman who had recently traveled to NYC. I do a lot of work there and am working on a project where I would be delivering a prototype within the month and expected to travel there for testing. Not so sure about that now.

Has anyone delt with Merlin cycles in the U.K.? I just purchased a pair of Shimano Shoes, rc7's, in white.Over $100.00 cheaper than Ebay's best price? I'm freaking out a bit here.

picked an amazing time to go back to work. All the majors have canceled classes so i’ll be stuck at the regionals even longer. Luckily my seniority number is high enough that I won’t get furloughed.
Hope everyone else is well.
Velo I am flying the shuttle to knoxville this afternoon, if the weather channel is true I may get stuck there.

All the time - they're great. Most recently, I got the levers/calipers for the Cervelo build - best price on them by hundreds. For whatever reason, they seem to be the only UK seller that's still selling/shipping Shimano in to the US.

FWIW, they have the best deals on disc components by a wide margin, but the rim stuff isn't as aggressively priced, for whatever reason. I got my RD and FD from Excel in CO - with the free shipping, it was actually a little cheaper than getting them at Merlin.
