lol However coffee doesn't do it to me either, I'm more of an early evening guy. Comes from years of abstaining until getting home from work.

Hot! I want that mug! Correction, I NEEEEEEEEEEED that mug.
It’s a relatively new addition to the last generation Edge and Fenix series devices. Heat acclimation triggers above 72 ambient (tracking from the paired smartphone, not the temp sensor on the device*), and decays relatively quickly if you don’t train in heat, the altitude acclimation feature gets trigger above ~2700 feet (800 m) of elevation.
* I can understand this for wearable devices, but don’t know why they don’t read temperature from the edge.
It’s a disaster! I consider Habaneros to be one of the basic food groups. But we also had quite difficulty in getting our Habanero plants to thrive as well. I may try seedsbelize’s suggestions, but alas, it’s too late to start this year. Next spring hopefully.
In other news, I got to test the garmin’s crash notification (it sends a text to your emergency contact) feature this morning. It works! I was able to cancel it before it triggered the text to my wife.
It was an extremely slow moving fall. It was mostly my pride that got hurt, and somehow I managed to scrape the very top of the hood where hood, rubber hood cover and brifter meets, and the side of the right pedal. Considering it was a drive side fall, I’m quite lucky. Next time I know I’ll call out the kid sitting on the ramp to the sidewalk instead of trying to go through the narrow opening in the national park service gate that closes the road to vehicular traffic

I'm guessing that it looks at power vs HR or something like that. I know that I suffer through the hot rides early in the season and my power is just **** for the perceived effort.
Seems like I'm starting to get acclimated to the warmth. Not suffering quite as much as I was before. I'll see later today, though - not getting out until 9am and should be out through 1pm or so; forecast calls for low 90s again.

You and me both...
Further, they don't take heat from indoors training. Sweated like a pig in a 100* garage trainer session as I used to? No heat acclimation, supposedly.

I thought I'd ride 10 on MTB, but slept in til 8, so no ride today.
Dutch baby in the oven, mixed berries on the stove and coffee is brewing.
Didn't have enough Illy left to fill the filter, so topped it off with some Boxcar from Firecreek Roasters.

Yup! A great injustice if you ask me. My garage is usually borders between “simply unbearable” to “this is hell!” March through late October too.

For both of those features, the unit supposedly adjusts the VO2 max and training status for calculated acclimation levels.

I just use a keureg. Though when I make espresso I use Illy. We have an Illy store in colonial williamsburg that has some awesome coffee and treats.

I don't mind the heat, per se, but riding (and every other activity) really becomes a pain once sweat starts getting in my eyes. Once it starts, which may not take very long, it plagues me the rest of the ride.
I may need to revisit the head sweats thing I've been wearing. It's not cutting it (though I'm unsure if anything will).
Oddly the sweat problem is much worse in my right eye. So I end up riding along squinting through one eye. It's a mess.

Rode the Erie Canal Path with Mrs. rjones28 before lunch. It was 80 degrees or so. Many kayaks on the canal.
