So if you get to 10 in the first mile or so, will you get off and walk home?

I have been reluctant to consider getting a Di2 "upgrade" on my Habanero because thrifty AND more importantly, the Hab is not set up for internal shifting cables and the external Di2 setups I have seen look quite ugly.
HOWEVER...on today's ride there was a cyclist with Di2 and she said it was run externally, and I did not see any ugly zip-ties and at a glance did not even see any wires. They must have been routed very discreetly under the tubes/stays.
Hmmm....

I had a couple of days of bad air. Yesterday I dropped down into a valley and could smell smoke. My throat got a little sore. I think it was the stuff you now see in NJ. A couple of morning sunrises were also strange. I’m in York, PA. Everything seems to have blown east now.

I wonder if maybe I just shift too much. On a typical 60 mile ride I am likely shifting hundreds of times. The terrain here is quite varied.
Most likely I will sit tight with my 10s drivetrain for another year or two, and upgrade to the next generation Shimano, cable vs Di2.
