Amanda Coker- the first woman ever to break the 24 hour 500 mile barrier, solo!
This past Saturday Amanda broke through the 500 barrier and wracked up an amazing 514 miles to set a new open road 24hr solo record (pending verification).

Insane. Was this west to east through the plains with a serious tail wind? I've strained to maintain her average of 21.5mph for 2 hours this summer and have failed to do it for more than about 70 minutes, she managed to do it for 24hr.

Going north south would usually avoid many of the problems associated with wind. It's funny that the elevation kept getting higher over time.

It was a straight out and back that was 28.39 miles per lap. She did 18 of those and then a few miles more before the 24 hours were up.

Wow. What an accomplishment
It would be interesting to see her power file for the distance.

Is there a way to find out her power and average speed per lap? Her setup looks pretty slippery for the distance.

I must not know what I am doing with Strava, it does not show me anything about her ride.

Le Col is one of her sponsors, so presumably they provided her shorts…?
Here's her writeup of the effort. There is something weird in it: "13 hours and 17 minutes in I surpassed the 300K world record, and less than a half an hour later surpassed the 300 mile world record." Clearly that's a mistake.

Looks like no power or heart-rate was uploaded or is hidden/private. But she averaged over 20mph for the 24h, so very impressive.

The Strava "analysis" screen uses elapsed time, so you can check how long it took to reach a distance from that. It's hard to get super-precise data from a quick eyeballing, but it's precise enough that it's clear she reached 300km in just a bit over eight hours.

Almost as amazing to me is no bathroom break until the 342 mile mark. Now that's some real endurance right there!
"After 342 miles, I figured it was about time to pull into the pit for a quick bathroom stop. Being out in the Wilderness Preserve, there were no bathrooms here, so I used a small camping shower tent and a portable potty bucket. A quick 8 minute stop and I was back on the bike."

I saw a short video of her riding. It was a one lane each way road with what seemed like a forest on each side of her. I don't know if the whole stretch was like that, but I would imagine that a road like that would cut wind down well, especially any cross wind.
