Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Also occurred to me that I met the guy once. Don’t look for that Wikipedia link.

He was still asking for his expensive lens to get bounced of the concrete when someone plows into him. Depending on the bird, it may be worth it.

The athleticism and fearlessness is fun to watch, but he's not going to have a long career hurtling his (relatively) slight frame through the air and at the mercy of much larger defenders.

Does he ever get tired? You're right, though. Smaller players tend to get hammered when they run amok.

I read the article. My DC friend knows some of the women quoted in the story. It’s an interesting article.

I’ve ridden through Superior, MT, twice. There’s stuff there.

In 2014 a train derailed and dumped some Boeing fuselages into the Clark Fork River.
