Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I took the dogs off dry food a week ago. Put them on homemade food, based upon lentils and rice. They are no longer sleeping away their afternoons, and this morning were up and milling around at 5:30, instead of their usual 6:30-7:00. All I need to do now is stick with it.

I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas in regard to today's stage. Yesterday was pretty wild.

Hmmm. I guess I'll just talk to myself then.
Will TJV go defensive or continue to attack? If they play their cards correctly they can go into tomorrow with a much bigger lead. Which they'll need at itt time.

My Brother in Law has a gorgeous German Shepherd. The dog had all types of medical problems so he and his wife put the dog on a total raw meat diet.

As a vegetarian, this is obviously not-appetizing to me, but I must admit the dog seems to be amazingly healthy now on the raw meat diet.

Their move to separate Pogacar from his team was a thing of beauty. He finally looked up and found himself alone.

I throw in some livers and gizzards. I don't have to actually touch them and there is no blood to speak of.

Awesome. I've dabbled a bit with feeding my dogs homemade food. I'd love to get away from that toxic kibble processed food, but the convenience factor is formidable. Human grade food is definitely better for them but it's tough finding a recipe that provides all the essential micronutrients.

Plus you need a lot of freezer space to avoid almost constantly cooking for them. If only I could afford a dedicated cook.

we tried rice, carrots and chicken with Roscoe and it almost killed him and me in the process. Back to kibble with some canned stuff to mix in for his tummy. He's thriving and I'm surviving.

Ahhhh a lady slipper, I had no idea of the name or purpose for that thing, other than I saw somebody get impaled by one in some movie years ago.

Likewise, I have no idea what the heavy cone-shaped thing is either. Seeds thinks it might be some kind of hammering tool.

The square thing is a Herbrand 193 wrench, used for opening/closing oil drain plugs.

I occasionally do a chicken meat and organs, rice, sweet potato, peas, carrots and celery mix. It's a lot of work, but the dogs love it.

They're also omnivores, they'll eat almost anything. That's why we call them . . . dogs. lol

Cats, on the other hand, are strictly carnivores.

Benson has been on homemade food for quite a while. She's been on a steady diet of chicken and rice lately. Mrs. rjones28 has an Instant Pot recipe that is so easy that even I can make it. We use BalanceIT.com nutritional supplement.

Not when domesticated. Some flavors of food I feed Stephen have veggies in them. My departed boy loved cheese. Probably for the salt. When my ex ate soy yogurt she would have to have an extra spoon because he always wanted to lick some. But I will admit that he was not a big vegetable fan. Once we bought a couple cans of food that had small peas in them. He managed to eat all the meat around it, leaving nothing but the peas in the bowl. Pretty amazing that he could do that.

I had an old cat who had problems with his gums and teeth. I would give him the canned food with little nuggets in gravy. He would suck the gravy off the nuggets and spit them out.

Rango will eat pretty much any human food, but his favorite thing is Noosa yogurt containers after you've spooned as much out as you can. He has a little ritual, in which he picks it up very gently, carries to the living room, and settles down with it between his paws while he licks it clean.

what does the aspero weigh? This is me guesstimating. I don’t have a way to weigh my bikes. I can just tell a pretty big difference when I pick up the two of them.

With the Zipps and 28 road tires it’s 17.5. With the reserve wheels and 40mm gravel tires it’s about 18.5
