Bikes: Miyata 610(66cm), GT Vantara Hybrid (64cm), Nishiki International (64cm), Peugeot rat rod (62 cm), Trek 800 Burning Man helicopter bike, Bob Jackson frame (to be restored?) plus a never ending stream of neglected waifs from the Bike exchange.

New bikes from Cap'n Jonny
There is probably a spot for each of these bikes but I thought I would lump them all together here.
The first bike is a 1958 Follis Champione de France model 309 as close as I can fgure. It came to me as a frame and fork with the blue paint you see in the pictures.
having just done a complete repaint on a 1985 Pinarello and a 1958 Lenton Grand Prix I wasn't into another total repaint so I touched up the blue , clear coated it, and added decals. I ordered them from Velo Cals days before they stopped selling them. They refunded my money and sent me the decals Gratis. Unfortunately I dididn't open the package till later, discovering that the down tube decals were blue instead of white but by then it was to late to do anything so I installed them anyway. Also, the head badge decal was too large to fit on the head tube so I modified it to make it smaller. The running gear is some what era correct but not what was on the bike as sold. That stuff would be pretty hard to source. The end result is a nice rider instead of a museum wall hanger and most certainly will give the next owner lots of enjoyment.
Next is a 1991 GT Outpost with some what faded " Volcano" splatter paint that has been re imagined as a urban pub crawler with a 1x8 drivetrain, fat tires, and a nice front rack to hold a six pack of your favorite brew. I absolutely love the paint job.
A bike I just finished last week, this metalic blue Peugeot U08 was a garage queen with great paint that only needed a few touch ups and a coat of wax to look like new. It already had Suntour derailleurs and I added a nice set of Araya Aluminum 27" rims, , gum wall 1 1/4" tires, a Shimano 14-28 hyperglide freewheel, and some Sunrace friction Thumbies on upright alu bars to make a nice townie out of it. The saddle was replaced with the Vetta shown which had a small tear in the vinal which I repaired by gluing it back down with 3M 90 spray adhesive and a bit of black dye.
Last but definately not least, My friend Jack just gave me this (1947-8)? Schwinn New World which had been sitting in his garage for a while. He is one of the main guys at the Bike Exchange and has been working himself to death keeping things going at the shop lately and he knows I can't resist an interesting project. Right now it is hanging in MY garage till I finish rebuilding my front fence that blew down in the hurricane force winds we had earlier in the year. So here are a bunch of pictures. Hope you like them.

I own a New World also, maybe a bit earlier? It has cottered cranks, high flange hub at the back and a single speed freewheel. One front caliper brake, no kickstand, fenders.
I would have really liked rear facing dropouts but nope. It is on the project list. Needs a saddle, bar and stem. Paint is a very weary opaque blue, the cool factor is the visible fillet bronze welding.
