Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Essentially a Pinto except many of them had a V-6, which was like the Bobcat (Mercury Pinto). The Capri of the 90s is a Mazda, iirc.

A friend from work has a 240Z with a 5.7 v8 and 6 speed out of a Camaro. He does track days at Willow Springs sometimes. Costs $700 for the tires for the day. He doesn't race against other cars, only the clock.

It might work if I forgot where they were. Otherwise, on a hot day a frozen cookie sounds like an improvement.

Today's ride is nothing special. I was feeling yesterday's ride so I did 10.28 miles. At least I'm riding. Next ride is scheduled for Friday. I need to rest.

I'm here, but just ghosting, mostly. Besides riding a lot (for me), there's life getting in the way of screen time. We are heading out this Saturday for a week's riding in Wisconsin and then leaving the day after we get back for London and on to Scotland, Shetland Islands, Orkney Islands and ending up for several days in Norway so we won't return until 8/16. My internet will be hit and miss after we cross the Atlantic.

I've also been dealing with solar and my wife has been dragging me around to look at cars which takes up a lot of time.

Our local Trek shop organized a mini grand fondo last Sunday which was called a Freemondo because they didn't charge. That was pretty cool.

Maybe it was just for the consumer bikes.

I'd lose that argument.
Mrs John doesn't bake very often but the last time she did some binge baking I gained a little weight.

Yes, except the ones with the v6. I put timing gears in enough of those things back then. The 90s Capri was built in Australia, according to that page, using a Mazda drivetrain.
