They talk about better modulation but any hiccup might send you off the 1000ft dropoff unintentionally.

Sure, sounds like a great idea. Make it a monthly subscription for the best braking with regular system updates. Do you want the best braking possible? That's a $5 per month subscription. You don't want to pay? No problem, you get the "adequate" performance, nothing more.
Now everyone can afford Super Record and Dura-Ace, even if only for the weekend.
