Vision Metron Track Handlebars
It's been almost 7 years since I bought anything nice for my track bike, and I've put two things on my wish list for this year: a new rear disc (sold my last one pre-pandemic), and a set of modern track specific handlebars.
I've found myself drawn to the Vision Metron bars for a couple of reasons. The shape appears to be something that would suit the positions I like to ride in, and the price is about as good as it gets in the category, only bested by the Velo Flyer Hellyer 2 handlebars. Which, to be honest, if I just wanted to add a lump to rest on, I would use a 3d printed attachment underneath my bartape on a much less expensive alloy bar.
If money were no option I'd have my eyes on the Velobike Skat Endurance bar, but the Vision Metron seems to fit nicely right in the middle of performance and value.
Has anyone on here gotten their hands on a set yet? I've seen one report of a person saying they are flexy, but that is subjective, and since they'll spend most of their time being ridding around Dick Lane Velodrome, a little give honestly might be a benefit Although I look like a sprinter, I certainly don't classify myself as one, and that may or may not be a deal breaker.
