Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Slow on the uptake. So the pink thing on the right is the tpu tube, compared to butyl. Yes indeed something to be looked into.

My position varied between 95th and 120th, but as the group distilled down it hovered between 100 and 104. I tried not to be TOO much of a dick - pulled the group a couple times including using up an Aero power-up just to be a nice guy. But I find on Zwift that whenever I get to the front there's always someone who wants to be ahead of me. So I let them - not gonna kill myself just to work harder! About a "mile" from the finish line, I decided to spin up to 300w and see if I could carry that the rest of the way, and that worked. I think maybe two riders came around me but one of them faded so I ended up 101st (IIRC) on Zwift, though it shows up as 69th on ZwiftPower. I thought about sprinting at the end but it was all I had to just cross the line at 300+watts.

I was so gassed I basically hung my head and closed my eyes while slowly spinning a low gear for about 3 minutes to get my HR down below 100 again.

Power-wise, 2/3 of the ride was Z3 or above, and HR-wise 92% was Tempo or Threshold. Seemed to me like a really hard workout, but Strava says it was a Training Load of only 68, and my HRV this morning is 8.7 - Proceed As Planned. So far, it's never told me "Take it easy!"

What does it mean when HRV( heart rate variability?) is 8.7?

I noted an out of the blue sore throat as I finished my ride this morning. I have hardly left the house since Monday though, and no place that I am aware of to get tested. Vamos a ver.

I just tested negative, which is nice because I snuck onto campus early this a.m. to use the weight room and I'd feel like ****.

Tubeless should have lower RR, but it depends on which tire to a great degree. The old ones that were advertised as "not needing sealant" (I think Mavic had them) just had a built-in butyl liner, so no advantage. My memory from ST was that good tubeless was maybe ever-so-slightly better than a good latex tube, and then butyl was far below. Junky tubeless tires in between.
