WTB chriscross i19s hub advice

I picked up a set of WTB CHRISCROSS i19s wheels with Gravity hubs for nothing. The seller/giver said they were removed from a 2015 motobecane cyclocross bike. I’ve tried all kinds of Googlefoo but cannot find reference materials. Worst case scenario? I grab new hubs and use the hoops to build new wheels.

Any suggestions where to find information about them?

What's to know? You have the wear items already in hand (like the bearings or spokes) to measure when replacements are warranted. Is there some issue with the hubs we don't yet know of? Andy

Thanks for the response.i know im missing something with them. Im at a loss for disassembling the hubs. The Shimano designs I have dealt with are intuitive for me. I don’t know where to begin with these.

The ChrisCross rims are a good rims, I used those on my Single Speed/Fixed Gear RandoCross Fun Time Machine and they are excellent sadly they discontinued them in favor or disc brake only. The hubs are probably some rebranded low cost Formula hubs with sealed bearings. Nothing great and nothing worth keeping unless you can get it fixed up but could be serviceable.

Thank you for the insights. I’ll plan on rebuilding them with better hubs. I suspected the hubs were adequate but not worth much time.

When I picked them up, they did respond to me...

Thanks again for the advice - I broke these down tonight. I'm trying to decide what hubs to use with them when it is time to build them.

What's to know? They're generic sealed bearing hubs. Strip them down, wash out the grit, regrease or replace the bearings. Don't expect to find a replacement freehub body.

I was struggling with rear hub disassembly but figured it out tonight. I'm glad they will be finding a new home somewhere else.
