$300 for recently tuned up LeMond. Rather than appreciate me noticing that crack, seller told me to pound sand.

I saw that just a few days ago and noticed the Avocet headset. I am 99.9% positive that was the frameset I had and sold. $175 for all of that is a superb deal, and the paint, in the sunlight, is absolutely gorgeous. I've thought about making a run up north (and combining it with seeing friends from the past), but here's the thing: I have a purple (repainted and funkily faded) 510 of the same year that I picked up shortly after moving down to the Portland area in late 2022. It rides the same. Tried selling it with lesser parts, but am 3x into last-ditch efforts to see if any of my fancy parts and wheels could shake that and wouldn't you know? They did! An epic bike that also happens to be liked by my niece (the color) and nephew (playing with the Di2 shifting). Would that in chestnut brown look even cooler? Yes. But I need to call it at some point.

There's a 66.5cm (CTT) Specialized Sequoia + parts for sale in town for a great deal and that is even more intriguing. I can't buy 'em all!

Mais, oui...! That's about what I paid for the set of RAIDs I got on eBay.fr for my PX-10 650b. I've had good luck buying parts from France.

Speaking of rebadged treks, i cant for the life of me figure out what this might be. The distinguishing features are the 27in wheels, vertical dropouts, fender eyelets, no water bottle brazeons and Japanese components. There's a hint of a head badge poking out, but it's still hard to tell based on the pictures. My best guess is a Trek sport touring model from the late 80s/early 90s. Or I could be completely missing it. Anybody else want to take a crack?

Earth to seller

Panasonic-made super sport in Albertville, ALERBAMERS. I've previously made voyages crossing through Alabama for a bike some moons ago; really, probably one of the most beautiful states to travel in, where you see just opulence of the old, antiquated South and blue blooded old money.

Anyway, I can't get this work of a sellerr to respond.. maybe it wasn't meant to be. So frustrating with these kinds of sellers..

I don’t think trek at all, not with that 600 group, fork crown, or dropout. It does have single bottle bosses. Looks more Japan or Taiwan. I don’t see any indication that the wheels are 27” maybe they are.

I'm confused why we would be thinking Trek at all.

Oh yeah, Trek never outsourced their production to foreign soil. But didn't they in the later years? Not certain. It wouldnt matter, because this bike looks like it had been made in the early eighties. I draw a blank conclusion on all those parts. Maybe, it could be a Japanese Bianchi or just a Nishiki. The fork crown is unique for the bike, as well. And no point in asking the seller, because it seems he maybe doesn't know what he has on his hands.

Hmmm..
