$300 for recently tuned up LeMond. Rather than appreciate me noticing that crack, seller told me to pound sand.

Ahhh.. the good, yet elusive brakeset boasting the tried-and-trued stopping power and robustness characteristic of bygone French ingenuity. I can only count with one hand the times I've ever seen them sold stock on a complete bike. They're the kind of gems we bike enthusiasts search the ends of the earth for.. ahhh, the sweet taste of scarcity.
If Mafac RAID brakes flip your switch - I live in France and can facilitate ...they can be found for considerably less than $140usd here.
for ex :

In what sense would the funny business.
..of rebadgement apply in a case of a reputable in-house American shop out of waterloo, wi to have been subcontracted to make frames for a lesser known company from what it appears is based out of Italy? Maybe in the case of high demand and low supply in the period of bike boom. So, all things considered, a rebadged 82-83 710 trek?

There's a 66.5cm (CTT) Specialized Sequoia + parts for sale in town for a great deal and that is even more intriguing. I can't buy 'em all!

Mais, oui...! That's about what I paid for the set of RAIDs I got on eBay.fr for my PX-10 650b. I've had good luck buying parts from France.

Earth to seller
Panasonic-made super sport in Albertville, ALERBAMERS. I've previously made voyages crossing through Alabama for a bike some moons ago; really, probably one of the most beautiful states to travel in, where you see just opulence of the old, antiquated South and blue blooded old money.
Anyway, I can't get this work of a sellerr to respond.. maybe it wasn't meant to be. So frustrating with these kinds of sellers..

Speaking of rebadged treks, i cant for the life of me figure out what this might be. The distinguishing features are the 27in wheels, vertical dropouts, fender eyelets, no water bottle brazeons and Japanese components. There's a hint of a head badge poking out, but it's still hard to tell based on the pictures. My best guess is a Trek sport touring model from the late 80s/early 90s. Or I could be completely missing it. Anybody else want to take a crack?
