Gugiefied Raleigh Competition 58cm
SOLD
I sadly have to bite the bullet and admit that I am too tall for this, which was initially planned as a "forever bike" for me. From the time I bought the frame, I thought "that seems pretty large, just a smidge under 60cm," which is what I figured my size was.
Since then, I have acquired some 64cm frames and instantly realized they fit me like a glove. The randonneuses got ridden less and less. Ignorance is bliss I guess, because it still rides like a dream, but I can feel the "too small" now in a way I never could before.
I still have to take some more recent photos. For now, I'm putting the frame/fork, VO Rinko headset, Mafac Raid brake set, Soma rear rack and gugie custom front rack, Simplex fluted seatpost and Mavic fluted stem up for $500 plus shipping. Contact me for other components or the full broke price.
Full work list below:
Reraked fork for lower trail
Fork crown tab for fender
Centerpull posts brazed on for 650b RAIDs
Downtube shifter bosses
Chainstay dimpling
Curved seat stay bridge with fender boss
Powder coated locally

I have a Sachs New Success derailleur set that was maybe going to go on it as well.
Also, I think the whole cockpit needs to be included, since I made the most French bar end plugs I could come up with:

I love the concept of the coins as bar plugs. It has real potential and has my gears awhirr.

Here's the current levers. The correct barrel adjusters are shipping from France as we speak, so those might need to be sent along one I get them.
Oh, and the headset is actually a mismatch: top is Velo Orange Rinko, bottom is some Specialized needle bearing. I can send all the parts along for both headsets in case you want one or the other.

Congrats to the buyer! Turns out a little small for me so saved me some injury from kicking myself.
