Winter riding 2025
We went to Texas this past winter to get away from the cold of NH and that would allow me to ride in warmer weather. Well I did ride in Texas but not as much as I rode in Florida last winter. I think that is due to a few factors. One being chip seal roads and I could not find good riding routes where I was staying.
I am starting early for next year to find routes in a place that stays about 65 to 75 during the day and good riding routes. We are in a travel trailer so that I need campgrounds in the area I will be. Let me mention that we stayed by a place called Canyon Lake in Texas and it was too hilly for my liking. As not that I won't and don't ride hills but there were no flats in that area. It was just hills. Not fun! So if anyone has any suggestions on where to spend next winter please share your thoughts.

Is your main criterion finding a good place to bike? I visit Tampa a few times a year and enjoy riding on the Suncoast trail, which runs from north of Tampa up to Crystal River. I know there are other options in the Tampa area but I'm not that familiar with them. When I'm in the area, I just ride up the Suncoast.
