Trek 520 frame size?
I listed this earlier in Classic and Vintage by mistake so am relisting here. Sorry.
Frame is listed as 56 cm. To me is looks larger. Can someone confirm the size?
Would this bike have 27 inch or 700 cc wheels.
How wide a tire will it accept on the rear?
Frame is Reynalds 531.
Is the asking price of $325 fair?
Thanks!

Would this bike have 27 inch or 700 cc wheels. - Came equipped with 27"
How wide a tire will it accept on the rear? - Came with 27 x 1 1/4"
Frame is Reynalds 531. - 531 for main 3 tubes, tapered chromoly for rear stays
Is the asking price of $325 fair? - I always want them cheaper, but the condition looks good, If you want it I would say fair price - original retail would have been $649 in '88

That is a lot bigger than 56. I have two older Treks in their 22.5” size that would equate to 56cm, and this one is larger.

WAY bigger than 56cm! If that is your size, then definitely keep looking.
I've started to identify frame size from pictured based on where the top tube sits in relation to the rear wheel height. That will at least get you in the ballpark. That and the headtube can be a good indicator.

The frame looks to be a 24in/60cm frame with a fairly long top line so bigger than 56 would be for a rider 6' to 6'4" give or take bit so a big frame.
