I have a 21 inch 1992 790. Over covid it was my project bike and I have had it in many different configurations. The lightest it ever was was in full road race mode at 22 lbs with fast and light road tires, lightweight seat, seatpost, and handlebars and about 1800g wheels. This was in a 2x 10 setup with a square taper bottom bracket, so it still had some extra weight it could shed. I'm toying with the idea of messing with it again and going for a 1x gravel race configuration in the 21 lb range. Please share your journey if you go down this route!

Here is my '97 Multitrack 720. Great for running errands, getting groceries, and not using the car.

750 Racer

Amazing race this past Sunday, Paris to Ancaster 70km classic. Mix of road/gravel/rail trail/doubletrack/mudslides. Close to 2700 participants with many sections through beautiful private farmlands. Bike and body performed exceptionally well. Gunning for top 100 next year!

What a great looking build, the exact kind of bike I want to build my 750 into (if I can ever remove the frozen seatpost). What size tires are those that you are running?

My 790 on another bikepacking trip. Mix of pavement, gravel and singletrack out of Blue Ridge GA up to the Appalachian trail and back. These frames ride great at any weight but it's fun to load them up and be reminded of how well they handle it (52 lbs starting weight on this trip).

96 Trek 750 Resto-Mod

This is my fourth US-made Trek 750. I regret selling the first so picked this one up a couple years ago and it's just been sitting in the basement waiting to be brought back to life. (#2 and # 3 went to each of my daughters but pics of all, including the one I sold, are in the Flickr album linked below.

This one is "Ice Black with White Lettering" so I decided to go with a black & white theme. I wanted to see how it felt with a Jones Bar, and so far I'm digging it, including the RandiJo Fabrications Jeff & Joan bag specially designed to nestle within the Jones loop. I also decided this bike would be all friction, so mounted some sweet Sun tour ratchet shifters I've been sitting on for years shifting an Ultegra RD and STX FD. White WTB Rocket saddle, Tail feather bag support for the Carradice Camper Longflap. Silver VP Vice pedals, White ESI silicone grips...

It’s crazy to see how much this thread has grown since I started it so long ago!

I have been pretty inactive, both on this forum and in general, for a while but…. I bought another Multritrack this morning! I think this is my fifth one and will post pics as soon as I get everything switched over from my 17” 720 to the “new” 19” 730. Im excited to see how she handles and expect the larger frame to fit me a bit better, as I was in the higher range of fitment with the 17”.
