I was in San Diego last June with the wife for a work conference and I was able to ride the Bayliss route. Just to give an idea...roughly 30 miles.
Ferry ride is 7.50 I believe.

Hopefully two out of three -- some CF components with mechanical braking and shifting -- is sufficient to avoid everyone's ire. But this is a hardcore ride? I was just hoping to drop by to check out some classic bikes and meet you all in person.
