There's a skate park by my house. One time I was there with my kids and a guy came in on a 20" BMX, said to us "let me show you a couple of tricks", did some cool stuff, and then left. He probably wasn't 45, but well into adulthood.

Knew a 65 year old who could pack a regular 20" into a large suitcase for travel. I asked him why not get a folder. He relied, "But then I couldn't afford the trip". I did note he had an extra long seatpost.

I still race 20" BMX at 45. Like it better than cruiser - though I'm building a new cruiser this year to try and like that more.
Though I really only started at 40. There was no racing near me where I grew up.

I look like Pee Wee Herman when I'm on a 20". Or so I am told. I like to ride them, though it has been a long time since I've owned one.
