Rate my Force 22 chainring - time to replace?
Its never clear to me when chainrings should be replaced since they wear so slowly. I'd like to get some thoughts from someone more experienced.
Time to replace? Overall its been pretty reliable but I might drop the chain every couple of rides.

It's worn but I've seen and ridden on rings much more worn.
IME worn rings and dropped chains aren't connected, so I'd try to diagnose that before replacing the ring.

Looks pretty bad to me. The way I tell is to put a new chain on, then pull tension on the crank and look over the top for the chain riding up on the teeth and gaps between the rollers and the teeth. If that's what you see, it's time for a new one.
