Spect JM

Recently acquired this bike. Want to learn more about it. Probably will sell it as it is too large for me. Have already posted in Classic and Vintage Market Place. Equipped with Shimano 600. Appears to be 1980's vintage. Thanks

I am not familiar with the bike's brand but I would look closely at the fork. It, the fork, appears to be bent back a wee bit. Could be the digital camera distortion but worth a closer look, none the less.

Took a closer look and you are correct, the fork seems bent. No sign of a crash.

Would the bike be rendered trash?

No the bike is not trash. In the shop I worked in we had a Jack that you placed between the fork legs and the down tube (with the wheel removed). A few pumps of the handle and the fork was back in its proper place (a form of cold setting).
