I realize it is a mountain bike picture but you really don't get much more suffering than I was in my before picture.

No joke, that kid is by far the skinniest racer around here. He's a good rider though - that was in my 3rd CAT-5 race, and I still hadn't gotten my sprint timing down at all. As you can see, I'm sitting down and on the hoods...about 50m from the line because I'd just popped
I still pulled out 5th or 6th out of ~50.

206 mile one day race - 9hrs and 44min in the saddle. Had no idea I was crossing the finish line 20min ahead of 2nd place...hell i didnt know if i was in last place. Everything was a muddled blurrrrr
