I've seen it mentioned in other threads but could not find a thread specifically on this so thought it might be a fun topic. Looking at FB Marketplace today I found one of the more common renderings, Schwann, but was taken aback just now to see a Schinng. The bike is a ladies' Cross Fit and does not deserve this, and it's cheap if you need one.

Let's see some others!

Must be something about FB Marketplace- I saw the same thing here with some type of Bianchi MTB advertised as a Schwinn. Unsurprisingly, the photo was terrible too.

To the Batavusmobile Robin!
Maybe the $500 was another typo and they meant $50.

I could not remember the formula, so I looked it up. Math is fun.
Number of permutations, P = n!/(n-r)!
where n is the number of things to choose from, and we choose r of them, no repetitions, order matters.
In this case, allowing for simple typographical errors, n=31 and there are r=7 letters needed (assume typos do not create an 8 letter misspellings, upper and lower cases don't matter).
Let's just say, that is a BIG number and leave it at that that. P = 13,253,058,000

Typos - there are 26 letters but many more keys than 26 (or even 31). Then there are foreign, non-USA, keyboards, so it could be a lot more than 31. Math is fun.

Those Schwanns - high BBs, long cranks, very long headtube, usually white and instead of stems, they have beaks. Don't really look like climbing machines but they fly over the steepest of grades.

When you try to search for Miyata on Offerup it insists on giving you Miata. When you search for Lemond, it corrects you to Lemon.

Nowadays, the proper spelling is "d-e-f-u-n-c-t." Similar to the Monty Python parrot.
