Oh lordy, do i hv a lot of pics to share lol. everytime we go out for a ride there's always someone in the group who's clicking away at everyone and everything hehehehe. but be warned, the quality of the pics are not always good, most times we just use our mobile phones
These were taken sometime last month while we were in Hulu Langat, doing the hilly routes of Genting Peras. we also managed to check out some landslide areas near a dam due to heavy rains a couple of months back. thats me in the red top

stapfam: 25% grades scare the bejeezers out of me. There is a road around her called Balcom Canyon that's almost 20% for about a mile. I've ascended it a number of times, but never descended it. The first time the Tour of California ascended that climb, the riders were caught unawares and many of them were tacking up the hill.
But like everything else- it is what you are used to. Having had to ride hills right from the start of my riding-Hills do not bother me. I may ride them slowly but I ride them. What scares me is going out for a flat ride with the local club.

It's snowing to beat the band this morning here in NH, so I'm liking all your photos of clear roads, green grass & flowers.
David B. - you have wonderful pictures in your mup gallery. The one of the morning sun streaming through the trees is beautiful.
But, now back to the snow! This is from Wednesday, up in Maine, xc skiing.

I'd stop riding that road before you get blamed for damaging the road surface.
But looks a good place to ride and with good company

Taken this summer on the rail trail between Savanna and East Moline, Illinois. The trail is around 65 miles long and runs alongside SR 84 and the Mississippi River for most of it's length.
The bridge goes over a train yard in Savanna.
A small park and boat ramp along the Mississippi.
Heading south to East Moline. SR 84 is on the left and the Mississippi River on the right.

Hot damn ... nice pix, everyone! That's what I'm talkin about. Now the challenge is going to be getting any work done today!
I have so many, I didn't know which to post next, but I was inspired by this one:
That sir ... with your son peeking over your shoulder ... is a great picture. My kiddo is a lot older and about to head to college, but it reminded me of his first ride. The picture is scanned and blurry, but you can still see what my Dad used to call the "****e eating grin" on his face.
Since then I've talked him into doing a couple of centuries with me.

1. Copy the url (right click?) of the image
2. Type this --> [img]
3. Paste the copied url immediately after the above, no spaces
4. Type this --> [/img] immediately after the pasted address, no spaces
Your picture should be there.
Here's a picture of the bridge over the Suwannee River (Nature Coast Trail) I copied from my photobucket account using the above method.

Iraq! What were you doing there?
I think I recognize that headlight in the 3rd pix. Serfas, right? Incandescent bulb with an integrated yellow LED blinkie on the top?

Working. Beats me what the bike or its accessories were. I bought it for $30 from a GI and sold it for $30 when I left 6 months later. Did better in Afghanistan last year got 2 for free, one for the living area, one for the job site. Road conditions too rough to ride between the two areas.

If we're going old-skool, I dug this out of our scrapbook collection. An old polaroid of my older sister's first bicycle... from about a year before I was born.

Here is a handful from riding around the city of Leiden, Netherlands, two summers ago. I must say, it was a joy riding where it is an important part of public transport.
Edit: I'm adding one more from my commute to work last winter.

I had my wife send it to me; the original was an a$$ hatchet. I had an oldie but goodie Brooks B72 sitting on a shelf at home. Brought it back with me this past April and returned it to its place of honor on a shelf awaiting its next mission.
