Breezy 21 miles. A near miss with a red light runner. They didn't even attempt to hit the brakes. Almost positive I heard the rpms go up right as they got up to the light.

Monday night club ride was canceled due to rain.
Yesterday: I just got the eBike commute in. (4 miles) Then home to lunch, then I got the car for an appointment and back to work. I was hoping to get an evening ride in, but when I was done with my daughter after work, it was T-storming again.
Today: Rain was forecast for this morning, but just a tiny bit and I'm damn tired of getting rained out, so I took the eBike in to work through some drizzle. I'll go home for lunch and back, so two commutes today for 8 miles total instead of 4. I considered taking the gravel bike for some "real miles" but it's hot & sticky and I don't want to sit in my sweat at work, so eBike it is.
Miata club ride was rained out Saturday and the bike club ride was shortened and they were rained on as well.

Quick session for me. Almost 14 miles at just over 19 MPH. A couple of PRs but no where close to a KOM for age bracket. Managed one 6 mile segment over 21 MPH, thanks to aero-bars on the Orca. Whew!

31 flat-ish miles of Zone 2 at a more leisurely 16 MPH. Tomorrow is a ride with the better half.

A warm 29 miles and 4100' of climbing today. Maybe a bit "TMI," but I had to take yesterday off due to a saddle sore. Sorry, no pictures of it, butt I was able to ride today.
I didn't get home from work til this afternoon, and we're in a heat watch/warning/whatever it is, so I opted for my higher elevation climbing loop. I still had a high of 93 on that loop, but the average temp of the ride was only 84. I was able to get the bulk of the climbing done once the sun was setting low behind the mountains and trees, so it wasn't too bad.
This pic is cool, as you can see the lower part of the climb in the brown grass near the center of the pic:

My easy loop today, 43 miles and only 4000' this week...normally it's a couple hundred feet higher on this loop. I focused on going faster on the flats and downhill on this ride for a more consistent power...ended up with an average of 16.8mph and a 200 watts. I also managed a somewhat early start, so only an average temp of 84.

I led the bike club on a 20 mile route yesterday; 3 eBikers in the group.
I wanted to try the rotating double pace line style of riding, like this:
...but one lady on the eBike said she wouldn't do it. I explained to others how it would work. We got going and it was working fine, but conversations started and they didn't want to rotate, so it died pretty quickly.
I rode to and from the starting point, for another 16 miles.
Leaving on a road trip vacation with my daughter Saturday. We're packing a pair of folding eBikes on which to explore some Colorado towns: Colorado Springs, Denver, Boulder and Ft. Collins.

It's not the nice thing to do on a group ride, but I did exact a bit of revenge on a guy in a gravel race a couple weeks ago. Me and another guy were taking our turns trying to catch the front group. A 3rd guy was just sitting on and refusing to pull through. When we made a 90* degree turn and the tail wind became a crosswind, I suddenly lifted the pace...the other guy that was participating with me was in a position to grab my draft. The lazy guy got caught out in the gap that would open up every time he'd refuse to come through...it takes big power to close a gap in the wind like that, and he couldn't get back onto us. The 2 of us made the front group, and as far as I know, lazy guy never did and was hung out to suffer by himself.

28 miles with the better half. Me riding Zone 2 worked well for her and her electric stallion. She was right on my tail on a couple of PR climbs I wanted to nail - one starting at 10% and going up to 12. Motors work wonders.

Bad weather here, real bad…
34 virtual miles on Zwift.
2x30 min intervals up the Alp. Set PB’s for 1 hour power & time up the Alp.
Tried to crack that 1 hour mark, came close @63 minutes, but the time between intervals got me.
First winter with a smart trainer/zwift = the best shape of this chapter in my cycling life.

Total miles ridden since last Saturday. Zero, Nada, Zilch..... 18 hr days for the most part at work, except today, I had it easy, only 13, but I am going to try and sneak an indoor ride in Sat and Sun as it is going to be near 100 and high humidity and I will not be riding in that. But I still have to work.... project due date of Tuesday, so legs are getting a break this week which is good to do on occasion.

It's sometimes hard to get a good pace line established IMO. There's always someone that wants to sit on, doesn't do their share, etc. Even the people that are willing to work, can mess it up...things like they accelerate hard over the front or they overtake too far off to the side. It inevitably creates gaps that the number 2 rider has to close after he just got done doing his pull on the front.

I would've been less salty about it if he was giving the vibes that he was on the rivet...after all, we've all been there. Instead, this guy seemed like he was just playing games. It's racing, so there isn't any rule saying you have to pull through, but there also isn't a rule against me dropping him in a cross wind.

As an aside, as a never drop group, if one of us has a mechanical or flat, we all stop and lend a hand. With this dude, none of us even gave him a second thought other than relief he was gone.
Oh and he wasn’t carrying a phone - so he had a long walk or a ruined rim

62 miles and 8400' today...consisted of a cat 1 climb followed by two "HC" climbs, virtually no flats roads other than maybe a mile of false flats before the start of the final climb. It was pretty warm today too...this route has a multiple micro climates on it. Everything from forested alpine climbs at 8000'+ to even desert. The first HC climb is on the desert side of the slope...check out the picture of my Garmin screen.
I was definitely down on power, as I'm not totally acclimated to the heat yet. It was a bit weird to be only putting out low zone 2 power, yet having a zone 3 HR. Managed to set my fastest average speed for both 5 mile distance(41mph) and 10 miles(33 mph.)

20km on road and some lightly gravelly terrains with my 1995 Giant Bronco, the conti Moutain King in 26*2.2 , the first Gen Mavic Cross Max, the Rock Shox Recon fork and the Shimano XT 780 T tranmission and Vbrakes make of it a very comfy and nervy bike. It was a pleasure to ride it

Weird feeling this morning, like bike is unusually hard to pedal and feeling some pins in chest area after climbs. I should probably get a real physical. Have been doing annual checkups via health app for years. With that, 29 miles on FX 7.3, which weighs a ton now with accessories and Brooks saddle.

My usual loop, about 43 miles and 4100'...luckily the temps were merely warm and not hot. The only noteworthy occurrence is that the new bike I got in April, now has over a 1000 miles on it...rear tire is due for replacement too.
