Wow people are just dumping stuff. I wonder if the crazy COVID pricing is officially over? Glad I didn't buy anything his year.

Specialized Sequoia 1984 I think. It looks very much like the one I had, same size around 56cm, which was too big for me so I let it go. Outstanding bike, if you ask me.

For Facehugger listings, would it be possible for those posting their finds in this thread to copy n paste the accompanying contact info (if provided in the listing) within this thread? I don't have the "hug" and have no way of contacting people who sell items on it.
It'd be a cryin' shame if something is listed there and not be able to contact the seller.

How is the Fisher? Is that a 700 hybrid or just real skinny 26” tires?

Great tourer for a great price in D'Ottawa, a Kuwahara Caravan for $200

It comes with 700c, 135mm rear spacing. looks like it would fit 47mm at most, but not sure yet. It was wearing 23mm tires. Pretty much a gravel bike before gravel bikes? Though with the long stem a shorter rider would be more stretched out. Weighs about 24lbs. Right bar end shifter is toast so won't be an ultra cheap build. Not sure whether to amp up that 80s green and flashy fisher decal with bright bar tape and pedals or try to tone down the bike with natural cork bar tape and silver pedals.

"I like FB marketplace better than Kijiji now"
It's too bad that on most FB adverts there is no way to contact the lister unless the inquirer also has a FB account. I don't have one and never will. There are many ways to find bikes, thankfully. But, by all means post those Canadian FB finds here in this thread!

I've seen the Caravan in person before. Looks decent. Can't recall if it is similar in mojo and design to a Fuji Saratoga but I think all these better sort of touring bikes of a similar time were comparable in terms of quality. I once saw an old Mikado Cycle Tourer which looked nice too. Interesting rack braze-ons, but not sure if they'd be practical for the racks nowadays.

Hi there, could I contact your pal and have them make contact on my behalf? I don't think I know anyone with the hug.

Hi Wonk, that's ok. I didn't expect a stranger in a different city to go to all that trouble. More of a cry in the wilderness for assistance with the hug. Lived without it up until now and will manage without it.
