Can we stop stacking the soap boxes higher?
Cats aren't the problem....people are, like so many other problems this World has.
We've had posts of birds, reptiles, dogs, and cats...even some horses, among hundreds of threads about bikes. Don't like cats? Skip this thread.
There's a C&V Lunch thread....see something you wouldn't dream of eating? Do you post a "how can you eat that POC?" response? No.
Move on, nothing to see here but little kitties. (Except for Bilenky's! Wow!)

When you have cats, you don't need a TV.

rootboy, my view is that people are free to say they don't like cats. I can live with it. If they do so humorously, all the better.
I mean, hey, let's be honest. If your friends or roommates acted like cats or dogs, you might not keep them.

"Me? I wasn't clawing at the couch. My claw isn't stuck in the couch... I'm... I'm... I'm holding it up because the fat blorby cat is crushing the arm. Yes. That's it. I'm holding up the couch. Not stuck here with my claw stuck in the couch. Holding it up. Yup."

No one cares
it's just all crap, you can't really differentiate. This cat thread is crap, my comment on your cat thread is crap. If my comment made you angry, that's one thing, but acting like my comment is any more of a detractor from talking about vintage bikes than this thread of nonsense, well that's just ridiculous.

this is gus, looking through the bamboo in the back garden.
he's always hunting, but mostly only passively so. he sleeps primarily. he's a cat.
i was telling a friend at brunch yesterday, gus hadn't left me any little dead critter at my door in several months, then last night i see a cute little mouse sitting idle on the cement stair. the tiny rodent was missing its upper half -- no head. its fluffy fur looked really cute, even in that lifeless state next to the long ugly tail, bright red spot of blood, and grey gut organs exposed. i felt sad ... and humored at what i had said earlier in the day.
i used to be a dog person. now i like cats. i've always liked bikes.

If you think this is nonsense, er, crap...that's up to you. But it isn't to many others. There isn't any crap in this thread that threatens you. We're having a little off topic fun here.
So what?

Our very well fed cat named Orbit.
Here's a pic before he started his daily weight lifting session with my oldest son.

It's as close to a cat that I have right now, plus the biking cap fits!
Used to have cats when I was a kid, but my home is never big enough to own any pets as an adult.....
