Bianchi Sport SX
Thinking of keeping my Fuji Gran Tourer as a commuter and grocery carrier with rack and fenders. Figure I should also get a fast back that’s lighter and lacks fenders and rack.
Found a Bianchi Sport SX (1980s maybe?) for $120. Is that a good deal and a good bike? Appreciate any advice. Thanks!

I bought a Sport SX about 5 years ago in Portland. C&V interest was higher back then. I paid about $80 IIRC, which I thought was a good price considering it was in nice shape. That bike didn't suit me tho so I sold it within a year for about what I paid for it. $125 is not a lot of money, but it is a buyers market right now. Good luck.

My first ever new bike was an '86 with TreTubi ChroMo frame and Suntour Alpha 5000 group and I loved it! I rode it alot and did training races on it, commuted on it, rebuilt it with flat bars and made an abortive attempt at cyclocross with it. I still have but a bad accident around '94, which pretty much moved the rear triangle an inch or two to the left, eventually resulted ina broken frame. IMHO they asre great entry level bikes if proprtly cared for .
