Marinoni Seven Speed Brifter set-up...

I picked this lovely Marinoni "Special" up last summer and have started putzing with it recently. The seven speed Brifters appear to work OK and are in reasonably good shape, cosmetically...

Looks like ST-6400, 8 speed shifters should shift 7 speed OK. RD looks like early tri-color. Good stuff.

Why don't you run a proper 7 speed brifter like the RSX ST-A410?

Sadly, or not, the Brifters are the ones that came with the bike. I did look at a nice set of 105 Briters today for $50 but no way I am going to pay that around here. There is little to no market for vintage road bike stuff.
