I've never had an unkind response to grief about a lost pet, but I usually just bring it up with other pet owners. The veterinary hospitals have been great, giving me angel pins to remember the cats by, and one hospital sent me a card with a final paw print.
I have mixed feelings about the angel pins. The first one was touching, but following ones are a reminder of how many cats I've lost. That's not a count I want to keep.

Meet Nala! I found very friendly - and very preggo - Nala at one of the neighborhood's grocery stores - which was closed - around 4 AM Saturday. We're looking forward to seeing little ones!

Meet Goldie! Goldie is a Scottish straight who's either a runaway or a throwaway. She was found in a public park by some acquaintances who took her in and asked around for her owners, then they called us!
