My New-Old Mountain Bike
So here is the 2002 Giant AC-1 bike which I bought in Honolulu last month. I brought it home with me to Japan, and have been playing around with it, and adding some upgrades.
So here are the specs as of the moment
Fork Marzocchi Shiver SC
Rear shock, Chinese junk air shock which works okay
Wheels, Rhyno Lite 26 with XT hubs
Brakes, Magura MT7
Cranks, Race Face North Shore XS
Derailleur, XT8000 11 speed
Cassette XT8000 46t 11 speed
Shifter, XTR 9000 11 speed
Seat Post, Crank Brothers
Stem, 35mm Renthal
Bar, Renthal Lite Carbon
Grips, Renthal
Chain, Wipperman SE
Tires, Specialized Butcher
Pedals, Specialized
Saddle, WTB
Coming from Hawaii pretty much all the hardware was rusted or corroded, so bought a box full of titanium replacements and replaced everything.
I have ordered some more parts for it, better pedals, a new saddle, and a new crank set and BB, I’ll install them as they come in.
So far it’s a great bike, and I’m having a lot of fun with it.

That's very shiny for something that's been in Hawaii for twenty years!
