Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

it feels like i'm always standing so sprinting is a breeze. I can't imagine it would be very comfortable for a longer distance, but I love this thing so hard right now. I would imagine that this is what a tt bike might feel like, i mean when i stand up to mash from a stop sign or whatever, my thighs are still touching the saddle.

very responsive, the fork is stiff as all get out. bumps and roughness in the road are definitely felt, but it's not jarring.

I wad told it was a malvern star from australia but I was also told that it didn't look like one so I have no idea haha

the geo is really tight absolutly no room in the fork or rear bridge but rides like a dream it has a slight sloping top tube too looks pursuitish

Single speed? Or fixed cause this frame has no place for brakes or even room for one

you want a lugged frame like mine go custom

And malvern star is still around but there stuff is made in Taiwan now and no were near the quality of bikes like before

what is the angle on that seat tube? it would be a nether region crusher if you didnt set it back so much!

i honestly have no clue, maybe i'll bust out the ol protractor haha.

before i built it up with wheels to see how steep it was I was thinking that it would look better with a straight thomson rather than the setback one. now i'm glad i have that lil bit. my taint still feels a little abused, but i'm thinking it's a rough seam on my boxers. i'm addicted to this bike now though, gonna keep the conversion around though for rainy days

for comparison, my geared frame is a nut busting 78 degrees and is far shallower. im set back a bit over three centimeters to approximate a 75 degree seat tube.

I'm from Sac. but I'm also on Sjf..

Chain ring..
I read that once they're sold out, they'd be tough to find anywhere.

Right..
It's cool for being Aluminum.
Nowhere near what the Leader Frames are like.

It's pretty solid,
but I still prefer steel and threaded.
I got a good deal on it so that's why I have it..

Columbus track ends with a Reynolds fork?

I dont know if Malverns used different brands of steel, but it might help you find the mfg. Also the fork might not be stock.

Just my 2cents,good luck though, she is a damn good lookin ride.

Yeh got a good ole philwood in there right now soo smooth (bb)

and yup that was the first place I went knowing the kids in this section couldn't really help (not all of you are kids just most) someone refered me to a Aussie forum and they said that it didn't really look like one and they were unsure though I learned a bit more but still clueless in the end unless someone can verify using the lug cutouts or the bb numbers
