Campagnolo Record Derailleur - sold

I had no bites originally so I put it on eBay (which I hate) and it received interest right away. I’m going to pull this and see where it goes…I hope that’s not a d*#k move. I’m not in this for money but I’m curious what the campy geeks think this is worth. If you still want it at asking price let me know asap.

Very nice vintage Campagnolo Record rear derailleur. I’m not a Campy expert but this pre-dates NR so guessing it’s from mid-late 60s. Very good condition, no scapes, clean, pulleys have no markings but look like little usage. Looks like one has a crack but it feels solid. Not up on Campy pricing…eBay is wild. $100 obo shipped.

If those pulleys are original, I'd guess it's the fourth variant of the 1963 Campagnolo Record derailleur, circa 1968.

If that rear derailleur were mine, I would want $100.00 for it plus the cost to ship. If I could not get that, it would sit in a box for a while until I did find an interested buyer.

To find such a buyer, even though I am not a fan of Ebay, I would put it on Ebay and be prepared to exercise patience. Sooner or later, the right buyer will come along. Probably later so be prepared to wait it out. Best of luck with the sale.

I might add that I, too, have a Record rear derailleur and it is just sitting waiting for time to pass. In a few years, it will be worth more than it is today...

Sadly, the Map of England handlebar was bent and I feel uncomfortable straightening out bent alloy components. Besides, those bars tend to be too narrow for me...

The above components came attached to a frame damaged Holdsworth (check out the badly dented seat tube) that the seller insisted on getting $20 for. My lucky day..!

That is such a cool looking derailleur...not quite Rallye cool, but very cool. It is such a "wise uncle" looking ancestor to the Nuovo Record.

It is and I have been looking for someone who needs it to buy it. I should put it on the For Sale forum just to see who might be interested.

Oh, jeez... I've got a '79 Holdsworth Professional frameset in the 'queue'... Needs to be painted or powder-coated.... I think by '79 the head-badge was a decal, but, hmmmmmm......
