BTW I actually did order some of those stickers lol. They will look PERFECT sandwiching the 'Huffy 12 Speed' seat tube graphic. Lest we forget that Huffy was the winning steed for a World Champi...err, a local race Championship in the real wor...err, in a fake TV series.

STILL!

Lest we forget the Huffy's Championship Pedigree! It deserves those 'World Champion' colors!

Photographic evidence of the Le Grande's winning race pedigree. Pay no attention to the fact that these are all paid actors. It's about heart!
You know, I kinda hate to be that guy, but I think the fork is actually bent on the bike in that pic.

I for one am trying my damnedest to facilitate reaching that Magic Number - and the thread views are approaching 13,000, so it's definitely within touching distance...

Hopefully 1000 posts before anything really meaningful happens.

Which one?

Every Huffy owner I ever knew referred to the rear triangle as the 'back forks'

On my part at least, maybe 'underthinking' would be the more appropriate term!

Wouldn't gas pipe be more appropriate than electrical conduit for the brake adapter? Just tell the guy you need three inches of gas pipe when you go to pick up the tubulars at Home Depot.

Lol c'mon guys! You are NOT helping my goal of trying to make this thing into a lightweight! I don't need more gaspipe, conduit, and iron...I need less! Hence the 'H' cutout

Speaking of the 'H' panto, here is the current state:

There are a few janky looking parts, but mainly that is just where the paint got scraped away. Got some other plans for this spot to make it stand out even more. This is just the beginning!

Looks great. But shouldn’t it also have a suit from a deck of cards...Grow the legend!

Also, no gas pipe fittings...either a seatpost carcass or a piece from another huffy would suffice.

I could see a sleek Christmas tree cutout shape using the kickstand hole as the cut starting point angling into an exquisite tapered curve toward the chainstays...keeping the integrity of Huffy’s fine welds onto the plate but saving a precious 20 grams.

Make? Au contraire! (Or, if you prefer: Anzi!) NOS Campagnolo RD hangers are available on eBay. One's even listed as being made for Record and Super Record!

Just sayin'.

But yeah: you might want to sit down before looking at the prices.

There were a couple of Vaientino RDs being sold semi-cheap that had hangers; one of them might work as a hanger donor. This one was the cheapest ($20-ish with shipping and sales tax).

https://www.ebay.com/itm/134441311024

Unfortunately, I didn't see any used Campagnolo hangers. But someone here might be able to help out (I have almost no Campagnolo parts, so regrettably I can't donate one to the cause).

Absolutely not. The most appropriate suit to go with the H would be a heart, and that's bound to sic the DeRosa mafia on your trail. I would not take the risk.

So just out of curiosity, I searched 'Campagnolo' on Home Depot and while I didn't get any bike parts or shirts or anything, this did pop up in the results which I thought was funny -

Maybe go off the grid a bit and cut out or pantograph squares. It would be like a suit, but not well done. Nobody has squares.

Like a Huffy.

So...

Heart shape = De Rosa
Club shape = Colnago
Spade = ????
Diamond = ???

And wow, I had no idea that back in the 1930s, a 5-suit card deck made a brief appearance, called the 'Five-Suit Bridge' -

I like this, a lot. Lot's of symbolism. Powerful symbol, once appeared, then disappeared. To re-appear again?? To rule them all???

I can get down w/ an eagle pantograph, although the relative obscurity of the reference would be lost on most people - haha just like most everything else I'm doing to a Huffy in this build. I'm digging it. It fits with the 'avant-garde' nature of the build.

Not even close to anything Tullio or Valentino would have had for lunch, whenever they ate at the Vicenza factory cafeteria or elsewhere.
You would not believe what kind of meals Campy provided for employees courtesy of the Communist Party unions. The serving line started with an appetizer section with a guy hand slicing prosciutto and was as long as a Vegas casino buffet.
