Tunturi?
Has anyone heard of Tunturi bikes? Do they make a descent bike? I may have found one in my size on craigslist but I don't even want to go see it if it's guaranteed to be a piece of junk.

I remember my parents had a Tunturi stationary bike back in the early 90s... thing lasted forever. Didn't know they made real bikes.

A Finnish manufacturer. Mostly regular town bikes, and MTB/fitness things that you might maybe compare to something like Nishiki. Nothing fancy. I don't know if they ever made road bikes but if they did they're probably not very good.

The real road bikes they made were actually pretty good, Tunturi Professional at least. Imported lugged&brazed frames, fairly light and Shimano 600 or Golden Arrow components. Their top of the line touring model, Retki SL was decent too. Pos a link to the CL ad and I'll have a look.
