What size tires on Mongoose Cachet?

Okay so according to someone posting at Walmart.com the Mongoose Cachet comes stock with 25mm tires. Any owners here who can tell me if it can clear something larger? I'm looking for a knock-around bike to keep at my office and the closer to free it is the closer it is to my price range. (I know, I know- buy or build a conversion from craigslist)

If it won't clear larger tires I'm open to other ideas on super cheap bikes (that might clear bigger tires) Eg. the Timeline.

If you're already considering a Timeline, I suggest going straight for that and saving yourself the trouble.

That may be where this is headed. Someone had a 58cm San Jose on craigslist for $250 but I'm skeptical of how much bike a person can actually buy at this price. (I figure it's wrecked, stolen, or both)

I don't think those kind of bikes go for much anyways. seems like an ok deal.
