Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It's called tolerance.

The problem with those OSPW is once you save that half a watt, you'll never go into the 11 or 12 and lose it again.

The car I just traded had an induction charger next to the cupholders. That was pretty neat.

I have the wireless Samsung Fast Charger on my desk. Works well. Much better than putting weights in the trunk of a senior Honda.

He wouldn't trade the Accord for an S2000 because that would be fun. VV don't do fun.

The Older Boy showed me a video where they talked about stupid things that people were led to believe they could do with their iPhones, like 'If you get iOS 7.5, your phone will be waterproof', or 'There's a hidden headphone jack on the iPhone 7. You just need to drill a hole in the case to access it', but my favorite was 'With the new iOS, you can charge your iPhone in the microwave!'

I'd feel bad for the people who fell for these, but some things are so obviously not true.

I've been downloading Eurosport/GCN coverage. Sean Kelly is surprisingly easy to understand, he must be taking voice training.

Incorrect. There is one nearby road I suppose would be "fun" driving in certain cars. Or, if you're in the mood for organ donation, a fast motorbike.

Lots of roads in your area that would be fun to drive.

Coincidentally, a friend of mine was in North Carolina driving the mountain roads in a GT3 this past weekend with Killboy.

I’ve got a new bike itch which is a bad thing to have during a bike/parts shortage.

Yep, I have a line on a Colnago V3 Di2 Ultegra that I can buy cheap. The bike is new but the paint was scratched in shipping. I can buy it 40% off.

I'm not feeling any 'new bike itch', fortunately. I look through Ebay and Craigslist and nothing moves me. There was a Battaglin in my size the other day for $300, but I already HAVE a Battaglin. Right now, each of my bikes has something different from all the others. No repeats. There's not anything that I feel is missing.
