Shimano' push-pull solid wire set up with the front freewheeling. They were hard to set up, and thankfully, I didn't have to service many. Mostly came on BSOs, and people never brought those in for service, until the seat tube separated from the top it the bottom bracket!

I grew up in the 80s and all I knew were the 5-arm cranks. Just about all the “youngsters” that ride with love the 4-arm cranks and want nothing to do with the 5-arm. I was this close to buying the later 4-arm Campy 11-speed and just couldn’t do it. Found a nice 5-arm SR and am so glad I did. It just looks ‘right’.

Lawyer Lips. It's damn near impossible to buy front QR dropouts without them.

I've filed off my share of lawyer lips, and I'll do it again. What's odd is that the tab style double eyelet dropout that Framebuilder supply sells has them. You're building a fork from scratch and your customer needs lawyer lips?

I buy them because they're inexpensive, locally stocked, have double eyelets...but lawyer lips? They file off easily, but it's annoying!
