Show Off Your Waterfords & Paramounts, etc.

Hi,

I am sure this was already started, but since Richard Schwinn has decided to retire, and Waterford is closing their doors, let's celebrate by showing off our Waterfords, Paramounts, and other bikes made by Waterford Precision Cycles. What does that include?

Waterford Custom Frames (Of Course)
Schwinn Paramounts
Standard Bykes (BMX and Freestyle. They are over 20 years old now.)
Rivendells
Herons
Gunnars
And a few others Waterford built, but I forgot about.

Either way, the Waterford crew will be missed, especially in that little Wisconsin town they're named after. But that doesn't take away the fact Waterford Precision Cycles created an outstanding legacy in the Bicycle Industry.

Now, who's going to start?

Story is not written yet, but I can gen something up about my wife's Georgena Terry Cote Donana, frame built by Waterford, about 2014.

1967 P15 (it may have been called a P10 then), repainted and braze-ons added by Ed Litton, set up with Shimano 9sp triple, Tektro brakes and a Rivendell Bosco bar. It's my commute/town bike, and it now has a big VO front rack with a Wald basket zip-tied to it for carrying whatever. It's kind of overkill for that application, but I like it.

This is as purchased. It's going to get modern components on it in the end. Sram Force 11 speed components with hydro rim brakes and carbon wheelset. Dura Ace crankset.

It's not my Waterford, but is one of the nicer ones I've seen. You might even call it the Hetchins of Wisconsin!? The pics were taken at the 2018 Hilly Hundred ride in Bloomington, Indiana.

And just for the sake of history, a shot of the Waterford booth at the 2009 NAHBS in Indianapolis. The photo shows Richard Schwinn chatting with a visitor. I just assume the other two guys are wondering how they can explain the cost of a Waterford to whoever is in charge of the finances.

I missed out on a big Waterford touring bike a couple of years ago. It was stolen before I could buy it. Still waiting for that early 70s Paramount that my summer job money couldn't afford(settled for a Letour that gave me my much wanted freedom).

I have a few Waterfords, unfortunately not the two wheeled sort. But I have used them while working on bikes...

The Tall one was the validation of it and the big silver Merz when I finally realized I needed to quit buying 58-62ish unless really special, not that it stopped me.

The little one was just an early smokin deal with original triple crank minus small ring and bolts......

2009 22-Series with Campy Pista crankset, Phil Wood hubs with tubular tires on Fir Isidis rims in Cobalt Blue. I get a lot of compliments when I’m out on group rides with this bike.
