I have put maybe 15000 miles them with few flats. they really did well on the tandem. got 8000 miles on the front tire on my commuter.

I'd like to join the SMP lovefest.
Been using SMP 38s for about 3 years now on the mean streets of San Diego, Cali. Zero flats.
They are a little heavy so a little slowish, but roll just fine.
But if your number 1 priority is reliability (absolutely, positively, yes please) then they are the tire for you.

Reliability is definitely my number one priority for commuting. Ride quality is in the mix, too, but I’m willing to make some trade offs there.
