Tern A7 brake handles.
The brake handle for the rear brake of my Tern A7 needs replaced. The threads inside the handle are stripped so I’m not getting much rear brake grab at all. You’d think it would be easy enough to find out what size handle bar it has but when I google the Tern part number, I get nothing. Does anybody know what size brake handles I need to buy? There may well only be one but I’m a beginner.

Buy a cheap digital caliper and measure the handle bar where the brake leaver fits. Less than 10 dollars at Harbor Freight and good enough for handle bars and seat posts. Roger

Any mountain bike brake lever will fit your handlebar, but you need to make sure the cable pull matches your brakes. If your Tern has V brakes, you need to get a long pull lever, cantis need a short pull.
